Enrico Pace
Nato a Rimini, ha studiato con Franco Scala al Conservatorio di Pesaro, dove si è
diplomato anche in composizione e direzione d’orchestra. Si è perfezionato
all’Accademia Pianistica Internazionale “Incontri col Maestro” di Imola e suo
prezioso mentore, in seguito, è stato il didatta belga Jacques de Tiège.
Dopo la vittoria del primo premio al Concorso Internazionale Franz Liszt di Utrecht
nel 1989, Enrico Pace si è esibito in tutto il mondo: Concertgebouw di Amsterdam,
Teatro alla Scala e Sala Verdi di Milano, Roma, Berlino, Wigmore Hall di Londra,
Dublino, Herkulessaal di Monaco di Baviera, Praga, Philharmonie di Berlino e varie
città del Sud America. È stato invitato a suonare in numerosi Festival internazionali,
tra cui Lucerna, Salisburgo, Edimburgo, La Roque d’Anthéron, Rheingau, Verbier,
Schleswig-Holstein, Husum e il Festival Pianistico di Brescia e Bergamo.
Molto apprezzato come solista, si esibisce con orchestre prestigiose, come
la Royal Orchestra del Concertgebouw, la Filarmonica di Monaco, la Bamberger
Symphoniker, la BBC Philharmonic Orchestra, l’Orchestra Nazionale di Santa
Cecilia di Roma, la Rotterdam Philharmonic, la Dutch Radio Philharmonic,
la Netherlands Philharmonic, l’Orchestra del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino,
la Göteborg, le orchestre sinfoniche di Londra e Stavanger, la Filarmonica di
Bruxelles, la Philharmonisches Orchester Freiburg, la Rheinische Philharmonie, le
orchestre sinfoniche di Sydney e Melbourne, la Konzerthausorchester Berlin,
la MDR-Sinfonieorchester di Lipsia, la Camerata Salzburg, l’Orchestra Filarmonica
di Varsavia, l’Orchestra G. Verdi di Milano e la Filarmonica Toscanini di Parma.

Lawrence Foster, Vassily Sinaisky, Stanislav Skrowaczewski, Bruno Weil, Andrey
Boreyko, Eliahu Inbal, Carlo Rizzi, Jan Latham-Koenig, Walter Weller e Antoni Wit.
Enrico Pace ha inoltre collaborato con violinisti del calibro di Leonidas Kavakos,
Frank Peter Zimmermann, Akiko Suwanai e Liza Ferschtman, e con il violoncellista
Sung-Won Yang, esibendosi con loro in Europa, USA, e Asia.
Altri partner nel campo della musica da camera includono non solo il violoncellista
Daniel Müller-Schott, la clarinettista Sharon Kam, il pianista Igor Roma e la cornista
Marie Luise Neunecker, ma anche il Keller Quartet, il RTE Vanbrugh Quartet e il
Quartetto Prometeo. Ospite regolare di festival cameristici, ha visitato Delft,
Moritzburg, Risør, Kuhmo, Montreux, Stresa e West Cork.
Passate salienti esibizioni includono il ciclo di Sonate di Beethoven, con Leonidas
Kavakos, a New York (Carnegie Hall), Atene, Firenze, Milano, Amsterdam, Mosca,
Tokyo, al Salzburg Festival e al Beethovenfest Bonn, oltre che ad altre performance
negli Stati Uniti, Europa e Cina. Si è inoltre esibito nelle Sonate di Bach con Frank
Peter Zimmermann a New York, Amsterdam, Zurigo, Francoforte, Bamberga e
Giappone. Con Matthias Goerne ha portato lo Schwanengesang di Schubert alla
Scala di Milano. A Zurigo, Francoforte e Colonia ha suonato con il violista Antoine
Tamestit, in Giappone e alla Wigmore Hall di Londra con Akiko Suwanai, e in Corea
e Giappone con il violoncellista Sung-Won Yang. Come solista si è esibito in sale
del calibro della Concergebouw di Amsterdam e la Herkulessaal di Monaco.
Con Leonidas Kavakos e il violoncellista Patrick Demenga ha registrato i Trii per
pianoforte di Mendelssohn (Sony Classical). La sua registrazione dell’integrale delle
Sonate di Beethoven per piano e violino con Leonidas Kavakos è stata pubblicata
da Decca Classics nel gennaio 2013 ed è stata nominata per un Grammy Award.
Nell’aprile 2016 Decca Classic ha pubblicato un CD nel quale il duo esegue brani
virtuosistici. Con Frank-Peter Zimmermann ha registrato la Sonata n. 2 di Busoni e
le sei Sonate per violino e pianoforte 1014-1019 di J.S. Bach per Sony Classical.

degli Années de pèlerinage “Suisse” e “Italie” di Liszt

Past highlights include Beethoven’s Sonata cycle, with Leonidas Kavakos, in New
York (Carnegie Hall), Athens, Florence, Milan, Amsterdam, Moscow, Tokyo, at
the Salzburg Festival and at the Beethovenfest Bonn, as well as other
performances in the United States United States, Europe and China. He has also
performed Bach Sonatas with Frank Peter Zimmermann in New York, Amsterdam,
Zurich, Frankfurt, Bamberg and Japan. With Matthias Goerne he brought
Schubert’s Schwanengesang to La Scala in Milan. In Zurich, Frankfurt and
Cologne he played with violist Antoine Tamestit, in Japan and at Wigmore Hall in
London with Akiko Suwanai, and in Korea and Japan with cellist Sung-Won Yang.
As a soloist he has performed in halls such as the Concergebouw in Amsterdam
and the Herkulessaal in Munich.
With Leonidas Kavakos and cellist Patrick Demenga he recorded Mendelssohn’s
Piano Trios (Sony Classical). His recording of the complete Beethoven Sonatas for
piano and violin with Leonidas Kavakos was released by Decca Classics in
January 2013 and was nominated for a Grammy Award. In April 2016 Decca
Classic released a CD in which the duo perform virtuosic pieces. With Frank-Peter
Zimmermann he recorded Sonata No. 2 by Busoni and the six Sonatas for violin
and piano 1014-1019 by J.S. Bach for Sony Classical. In 2011, the Piano
Classics record company released his well-known recording of the Années de
pèlerinage “Suisse” and “Italie” by Liszt
